When I pull the mower deck all the way up I cannot turn the adjustment knob to the "top" position to lock it up at transport height. The best I can do is the "4.0" setting. When the mower deck is off the tractor I don't have this problem. The deck is adjusted such that it comes within 1/16" of the hard stop on both sides at full lift. Is there another adjustment or some trick I don't know about?

after your deck hits the top pull the hdy lift lever again and it should raise a little higher. ....

Dig into your manual, the lift carraige may need to be adjusted if holding the lever does not do it. ....
